Minnesota Boys State
The American Legion Boys State is a highly respected educational program for US high school students. At Boys State, participants learn about the rights and responsibilities of citizens, with training centered on the structure of city, country, and state governments.

Eligibility
To be selected for nomination or appointment as a Minnesota Boys State delegate, the candidate must demonstrate:

Strong academic performance

Excellent Interpersonal skills
-
Exhibited leadership
-
Solid Oratorical skills
-
be a Junior in a Minnesota High School (Public, Private, or Homeschool)

Have at least one semester of high school remaining
-
Has not previously attended Boys State
-
Have parents'/guardians’ permission to attend
-
be certified by the sponsoring American Legion Post
